11"x14" mixed media paper - pencil/acylic paint and pen - as is no frame - *artist note* this piece is inspired by Japanese lore of the Ningyo. This underwater creature deviates from more modern adaptations of thin/beautiful/sexualized mermaids - instead this blob fish/human creature embraces the concept of deep-sea gigantism, where deep water dwellers tend to be larger than their shallow-water counterparts. We don't choose our meat sacks, our meat sacks choose us.
